This is the website for the Task Force on Northern Post-Secondary Education. The Task Force was an arms-length group appointed by the Minister of Northern Affairs. The final report of the Task Force and some other materials are available in the "resources" section of the site.

Thank you to all of you who took the time to fill out survey, to participate in regional engagement sessions, and to write to us. We are extremely grateful to all the people who engaged with us throughout this process, and who generously shared their insights, expertise, experiences, cultural strengths, dreams, and aspirations.

Mandate of the Task Force

The Task Force on Northern Post-Secondary Education was mandated to look at ways to improve post-secondary education in northern Canada. It was appointed by the Minister of Northern Affairs in October 2020. The Task Force covers the three territories, all of Inuit Nunangat, and northern Manitoba.
